Retired firefighters keeping in touch and supporting each other

My name is Lisa and this November I’ll be taking on a solo, self-supported charity cycling journey from Tweed Heads fire station to Eden fire station, travelling from one end of the NSW coast to the other and visiting 80 Fire and Rescue NSW stations along the way.
The ride, Pedal with a Purpose – Tweed to Eden, is about more than covering kilometres. My goal is to raise funds for Beat the Burn, supporting the Children’s Burns Unit at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
I’m a Senior Firefighter with Fire and Rescue NSW, currently stationed at Campsie Fire Station 052. I created this challenge as a way to combine personal endurance, community connection and fundraising while supporting the work undertaken by Beat the Burn and the Children’s Burns Unit.
My goal is to raise $5,000 for Beat the Burn, so any contribution big or small will be greatly appreciated!
